Analivia Cordeiro


Analivia Cordeiro is a dancer, choreographer and architect. She studied dance with Duschenes Maria in Brazil and at the Alvin Nikolais and Merce Cunningham studios in New York. She also holds a bachelor in architecture from FAU-USP and in a master degree in multimedia from UNICAMP. Analivia is a worldwide pioneer in computer-dance (1973) and a leading video-artist in Brazil. Her work was presented in many international exhibits in Europe, United States, Israel and South America, such as the International Festival of Edinburgh and the American Dance Guild Conference. She created a software for notation of movement by computer: Nota-Ana and worked as teacher of modern dance and the Laban Method.
