Funding
Financial support is available for PhD students from universities and research institutions.
Graduate students are invited to participate of the program, being able to include the introductory course on Computational Manifolds as part of their academic activities with full credits (e.g., equivalent to a regular PhD course at IMPA).
PhD students, or those finishing their master degrees, in institutions located outside of Rio de Janeiro wishing to participate of the program at IMPA may apply for special scholarships in the amounts according to CNPq levels (e.g., PhD students 3 x of R$ 1.800.00; master students 3 x R$ 1.200.00).
To apply for a scholarship candidates should send the following documents by e-mail to ensino@impa.br:
- Statement of purpose [form];
- Application [form];
- Updated academic transcript;
- At least 1 letter of recommendation [form].
(The letter should be sent by the referee to ensino@impa.br.)
Candidates not wishing to apply for a scholarship should send only the application form filled out and the statement of purpose.
