Analivia Cordeiro is a dancer, choreographer and architect. She studied dance with Maria Duschenes in Brazil and at the Alvin Nikolais and Merce Cunningham studios in New York. She also holds a bachelor in architecture from FAU-USP and in a PhD degree in communication and semiotics from PUC-SP. Analivia is a leading worldwide in computer-dance (1973) and pioneer video-artist in Brazil. Her work was presented in many international exhibits in Europe, United States, Israel and South America, such as the International Festival of Edinburgh, the American Dance Guild Conference and Dance on Camera. She created a software for notation of movement by computer, Nota-Anna, and worked as teacher of modern dance and the Laban Method. See http://www.analivia.com.br.
