Abstract:

This tutorial will present the mapping of the object-oriented fundamentals to the Java language syntax. It will show how to use the Java class library to build multiplatform digital image processing systems, with multithreading and distributed processing. Several examples will be used to give the audience a startup knowledge on writing standalone Java applications or Internet applets.
