Abstract:
We present an alternative way to calculate the next aproximate point in marching technique for the computation of the intersection of two parametric surfaces. Differing from the classical methods, our algorithm is based on an aproximate osculating circle instead of tangent vector to estimate the next point. It provides closer estimation and a larger marching step in each iteration with relatively low computational cost.
