Paulo has graduation in Civil Engineering by Instituto Militar de Engenharia (1975),
master's in Mathematics by Instituto Nacional de Matemática Pura e Aplicada
(IMPA, 1980), Ph.D. at Operations Research by Cornell University (1984)
and Postdoctorate by Cornell University (1988).

Currently is at IMPA and Fundação Cesgranrio. Has experience in the area
of Computer Science, with emphasis on Computer Methodology and Techniques.
Focused, mainly, in the subjects: Combinatorial Optimization, Duality, Integer Programming.
